Dalesauna delivered fresh ideas for the Celsius premium members spa area at a new David Lloyd club, developed by Pellikaan, on the site of Worcester Warriors rugby club.
Having worked with Pellikaan for many years, and having completed many facilities for David Lloyd, the company were more than happy to assist.
In conjunction with John Mullen, David Lloyds construction director, and Antoine Molenschot Pellikaan design manager, Dalesauna have provided a fresh, contemporary look to the whole area.
The brief called for creative thinking, but not on a 'money is no object' basis, and by careful consideration of the brief, Lynn Russell-Hanson, Dalesauna's in house interior designer, came up with a new look that is both visually appealing and easy to maintain.
Previous DL clubs had utilised many mosaic tile finishes, but these were dismissed in favour of larger format tiles.
The use of lighting played a vital role in creating an interesting look to the two saunas, and the red and amber LED lighting enables the users to tell immediately which is the hotter of the two.
An ice feature and tiled heated loungers, together with a poolside sauna and steam room complete the installation.
